In light of some controversies about Occupy Wall Street, the following resolution in defense of Occupy Wall Street was passed through the General Assembly of Occupy Houston on October 8th:

I see a few folks actually attempting sarcasm in their posts. Why? I see the same on the main OWS.org. What are u trying to accomplish with the stupid comments, some attempt to discredit the occupiers? Don’t you know that the banks designated as primary dealers are stealing from you everyday via bond purchases with fat margins no one else can get, and that the banks have no intention to hold the bonds but only hope to flip it back to the FED ASAP? Don’t you understand that the only way out of the debt retardedness is massive inflation, and that inflating our way out is the plan and it will effect you? Did you miss the bailouts for those that caused the mess, and the forecloseures for you? Did you ever wonder why you have to work for money/income, when its printed freely and only demanded around the world to facilitate transactions as long as its a reserve currency? Ever wonder how long the reserve currency status will last when the math on what we will all individually have to pay isn’t even possible, and yet somehow we are currently a credit worthy nation? Oh, but wait…you were saying something clever that was going to discredit the whole movement and put them to shame. Please carry on and show us all you know and how wrong the occupiers are.

I will turn that around [and use actual English] and ask you “What exactly are you trying to accomplish with your ridiculous sit-ins, and your assemblies with your moronic hand signals?” We all know that these so-called protests will come to a screeching halt once the weather turns bad, and in the end, all you will have to show for your efforts is a filthy sleeping bag, a completely trashed public park, and perhaps a new STD or two!!!
Seriously, if you spent as much effort on real work as you do waving your little fingers around to signal silent applause, perhaps you would be one of the evil capitalists that isn’t interested in being a slacker/loser.

I haven’t attended yet because I have to work. But I would love to attend if I could and I plan on it very soon. Regarding your reply, you are a dip shit. The goals of the movement you are seeing is over your head. Please keep posting and so we can see more of your all encompassing understanding of the world around you.

Either you are disputing that 1) 1st Amendment to the Constitution, or that 2) petitioning the government/mass protest is ineffective. I doubt you are un-American, so it must be reason #2. Perhaps mass protest is ineffective; however, history shows it has worked in many situations. Certainly our history has shown cases where it has worked. Let’s take college sit-ins supporting divestiture in apartheid South Africa, for example.
Or, maybe you agree that mass protest does work, but this group is going about it wrong? If so, offer some constructive advice.
