Greetings from Occupied Houston! We’re standing strong at Eleanor Tinsley Park and show no signs of stopping! Here’s our current schedule for Occupation: Day 3.
- We’ll be holding General Assembly meetings at 12:00 noon and 7:00pm. All changes to how Occupy Houston operates, how it spreads it’s message, or even the message itself are decided here. Attend these and guide the revolution!
- There are logistics volunteer group meetings at 10:00am, 5:00pm, and 10:00pm. Logistics plans the nuts and bolts of our occupation, and need regular meetings to make sure the occupation’s wheels are well oiled. If you’ve not experienced Occupation Houston yet, want to stand with us and contribute to our occupation, but don’t know where to start then this is the place to be! Find them near the medics’ area.
- The facilitation volunteer group is meeting at 8:00am and 6:00pm to train people to run our General Assemblies. Meeting facilitators are invaluable to us, keep us on track, and make sure our assemblies stay productive.
We need all these group meetings to keep the occupation train on the track. Everyone is welcome to come to Eleanor Tinsley Park to stand with the 99%, tell your story, and help spread the word! STAND STRONG! Together we can erase the corruption that plagues our democracy!

Thank you to all of you who are occupiers. I cannot be there physically because of my obligations to my kids, my students, and the clients I serve. BUT, I am with you in spirit, and I’m working for the revolution through teaching my students to accept nothing blindly, question everything automatically, and respect everyone unconditionally.

Please stop using the name Eleanor Tinsley Park. I am a galvanizer to rename it Elizabeth Spates Park because the corrupt Houston City Council named this park after a living politican at the time. She was one of Houston’s most corrupt politicans! I’m a Native Houstonian, and I resent it. No park or any public building should ever be named after a living politican. That is just blalent corruption and everything this movement stands for.

Don’t completely blow off Warfighter quite yet. While I Must Admit. What he said sounds a bit whacked off, CONSIDER. That the U.S. has been blowing up countries and then training their militaries in our tactics and technologies for decades. While simultaneously cultivating a culture of political apathy and complacency in this country, in addition to stripping Americans of their rights.
That’s hilarious Warfighter. Keep it coming. We all need some comic relief. We have some of the worst schools, worst infrastructure, and worst public systems of any state in the nation. You’d like that to be even worse?
There’s a bar in London called the Republic of Texas. Maybe you should go live there?

AIG was one of the largest recipients of bailout money as they supposedly were backing many of the fraudulent MBS, and CDS from the corrupt banks and investment firms. They were leveraged sometimes 30-1, or 50-1. We bailed these CROOKS out! Once again: “Everything for the Investors, Nothing for the People.”
Attention all occupiers, Representative Edwards of MD (D) has sponsored H. J. RES. 78, Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to clarify the authority of Congress and the States to regulate the expenditure of funds for political activity by corporations.
Go to the house.gov website, find your representative (by zip code) and email him/her and, if you support regulating corporate electioneering, tell them to support H.J. RES 78.
