What most people do not know is it has not bottomed out yet.  There is no answer to stop the slide because the whole world has over leveraged.  The people on here being critical do not understand that they are still not standing on solid ground and being busy with normal life think that this is a normal recession cycle and it will start picking up just like it always does and it will be back to business as usual.

It's not. We might bump along like this for years and if the politicians do the right thing and get big business out of the halls of congress writing the rules the economy will right itself although it will never be at the level it was in our lifetime because it was built on false assumptions.  The business people and stockholders can't believe that so they will carry on with business as usual thinking that we can have unlimited growth. 

How are you going to like it when you have downgraded your job making less, working harder but doing ok and enjoying life and paying taxes having resigned yourself to the fact it is a new world but we will all adjust when say three to five years from now all the bailout money has run out and the banks and car makers need some more because "they are too big to fail" and all that money you gave them in 09 that they have been playing in the stock market with each other is gone and the government not having made any change does not know what to do again and has to give it to them. 

You won't mind working a couple of hours extra a day will you?  Well I would.  I have been working for 35 years and went to school at night when I wanted to go to school and  as long as things were good  did not pay attention to the politics. We had a couple of dips along the way but it looked like the sky was the limit.  I think it is great people want to get involved with politics now. For the next couple of generations we will probably be the most politically involved as has been seen in history before they get complacent again.

Before you go spouting off thinking you have the answers and all the information you get from the mainstream media is spot on you need to remember that we have not hit bottom.  Until the whole economy downsizes and stabilizes we are on very shaky ground.  That could be five to ten years away.

That is a long time to live under the cloud and let the politicians and big businesses run things their way.

Regarding your making fun of homeless people and the people here, perhaps if you practiced some gratitude for being an American with greater than homeless potential, your behavior would not be so hateful. Or gratitude to have been fortunate enough to have been born in this country and have access to things like a free education through highschool. Maybe it is time you try some therapy so you can find your path to happiness, because what you are creating for yourself here is artificial and insincere. Why don't you go find your true passion to make a difference?

If you continue on as you have here on the OHS site, I can only conclude maybe you do not have the courage to look at yourself in the mirror.

As opposed to "FightCorporatePower"......  How many mis-spelled posters at the "Peoples Movement _fill in the blank_ Protest March" passed by you, held up by one of the dozens-and-dozens of hippies, before you thought up that original Tag?
