I am planning to protest and redo my loan shark car loan (like putting a car on a credit card-cannot believe it, still) that has almost crushed me over the years, after trying everything to find a solution with the 'Big Banking Corp Who Should Know Better'. I have tried to find legal help but so far with no luck or too long a wait as I need to know the ramifications and get some help with this kind of civil disobedience (corp disobedience?) within a short time now.

Giving the car back is not a good solution as I will still be liable for the balance and they WILL, if their internet rep is any indication, come at me with a vengeance (to augment their bailout, natch), and I sure don't need that, and paying for NO car is really unacceptable.

I know that some Occupy orgs have done home foreclosure protests and have seen documentaries about them. No, this is not my home (but might be!), but I am disabled and we all know how great Houston public trans is and I can't deal with it due to health problems. Even taxis are hard to get. I have no support to help me. I do not have the same income I had when I was coerced (lies, lies, lies) into the loan, but really was on the edge even then to do it (was like some kind of govmt torture lasting 6 hours; they basically wore me down, knowing of my health situation and how badly I needed this car).

I would go ahead and 'refinance' (redo the numbers of a sane and fair loan) and pay the new amount, but as I am on 'hardship' (tiny effort on their part to 'help' me, which only penalizes me, in the end), I have NO leeway. They say they will seize car after 30 days late. Which means I'd have to hide it, which I'm not really up for, healthwise, or into and not even sure how I'd do it.

Thanks for any advice, help, etc, and I am with you in spirit and on the internet! Thanks for all you protestors do!

Cheers,

Jen
