All three of those films are brilliant, and the 2nd and 3rd especially don't get their fair due.  I don't think they're widely understood ... most people just see the kung fu scenes and special effects, and miss what the authors were saying about the patterns in human societies, relating to systems of belief used for purposes of control -- which includes religious systems, but also government systems and social systems.

Most relevant from The Matrix concepts: once enough people "opt out" of the system, or "wake up" and see it for what it is, there's no turning back.  The system stops functioning.  The system breaks down and has to be "reset" and be replaced with a new one -- according to the films, through revolution.

I know the word "revolution" is quite controversial, because it often implies violence -- but that is NOT always the case, peaceful revolution is possible.  A reminder, Occupy Wall Street was modeled after the Arab Spring movement, which was in fact a revolution.  And its website includes this slogan: "The only solution is world revolution."

That said, would I wear a mask?  Nope... because I think it might turn off a lot of people who need to be "woken up," and it also gives the PD a reason/excuse to behave badly.

If you read Jim's various postings through out the site, you will see he does not like Occupy and wants to create trouble for us here. Yes, his behavior is pathetic...maybe he has a chemical imbalance or a personality disorder.

In case you are not aware, you might want to read up or watch some films on Martin Luther King, Jr. and Mahatma Ghandi....peaceful demonstrators that lead to some of the greatest revolutions.

I don't think we need to resort intimidation tactics. Peaceful demonstrators have no need to hide behind a mask, and I rather not escalate our marches to anything more.
