I'm the co-founder of BeGrouped.com and I want to help out. My website has the ability to provide texting to large groups (such as universities, non-profits, etc..). I would like to offer you our services for free because I believe in the "Occupy" movement and I want it to succeed on all levels. We have an opportunity that only comes along once in a generation.....an opportunity to create real change and we cannot let this opportunity pass. Just like the Arab "Spring" Uprisings, an important aspect of organizing is the ability to communicate with each other quickly and directly. Meetup does not provide texting services, so you can use BeGrouped in conjunction with them.

I want to give every city it's own texting channel so that people can easily get information by texting in a keyword. For instance, you just tell people "Text OccupyChicago to phone number 443322". Once they join, you can send a text to everyone directly on their phone, phone numbers remain private ALWAYS, you can poll everyone, etc....
