I thought this would be some useful info for anyone who isnt clear on whether it is their right to protest in any specific areas. Anywhere public is subject to peaceful assembly by the people.

1939 United States Supreme Court found in Hague v. Committee for Industrial Organization that public streets and parks "have immemorially been held in trust for the use of the public and, time out of mind, have been used for purposes of assembly, communicating thoughts between citizens, and discussing public questions."

Thornhill v. Alabama case, the court found that picketing and marching in public areas is protected by the United States Constitution as free speech.

The First Amendment:

'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.'

The Constitution does not put any restrictions on any locations that the people may peacefully assemble, but does protect private property so any public street or area is subject to protest. If a police officer tells you that you may not protest on any sidewalk or public area let him know that you know what your rights are. Good luck!
