With all the bad conduct by banks, credit unions are a much better option for keeping your money out of the hands of the banksters. Why give your money to someone who doesn’t respect you or your financial health? See what I’m talking about at learnmore.asmarterchoice.org. There’s info about making the switch, too.

I did that a year before the protest. Ive always boycotted immoral companies on a individual level. Everyone should do that as much as they can to all companies not just banks. I understand you cant avoid buying gas from greedy companies because they arent any local ways to buy gasoline unless thru big business but you can buy from local farms/food markets for food to replace companies like walmart, kroger etc. and it is better for your health. I think it would be a good campaign for OWS to make a list of all companies that need to be boycotted for their immoral actions against the earth and the consitituion and send it to every american thru letter form and email.

I am pretty sure Exxon, Mobil, Valero, etc. make less than 10% profit on their businesses, so I would not call them greedy in any way shape or form.  10% is far less than the greedy government taxes a gallon of gas.  The misinformation from the progressive/dems/mainstream media is on the gross profit amounts, which comes through volume.  You are protesting the wrong folks in this regard, industries like lawyers, education (it is simply a business), media, entertainment (music, TV, film) and the like are the ones with the obscene profit margins, go protest them).

With the oil companies I was more refering to their crimes against the earth and their greed. ExxonMobil, Shell, Valero, BP, Kuwait Petroleum, Red Star Enterprises, SK Corp, Bahrain Petroleum, the Int. Oil Trading Co., etc have all polluted the countrys the manufacture and dump wasite in. Spills like in the gulf of mexico are experienced all over the world in places like Ecuador, Niger, Alaska, etc. There are many scientist who have even said fungi and allgy is ready to replace oil for fueling cars and plastic but that technology would put too many billionares out of business so they'll do their best to keep it out of the eye of the people.

And please dont get me wrong. I dont want a war against the wealthy. I believe in the free market and want everyone to contribute if they want to benefit from society. I just think we are advandced enough now to embraced businesses with better technology that contributes to all human needs and the oil business shouldnt come before the health of the earth and the people who inhabit it.
