The outreach committee is in need a list of all potential groups for our outreach campaign. If you are affiliated with any organization that we could ask for support from (union, church group, political organization, social organization, charity/non-profit, etc)  please submit a post with contact info if possible. If you would like to reach out to them yourselves, feel free to do so but please post which groups you have done so with, so we know who has been contacted.

Thanks,

Outreach Committee

DON'T ask the YMCA to help — rather, protest what they did with the help of the crooked fed court in Houston.  See info online at a site called rainingdaylight.  The 5th Circuit court's version is totally warped – it's all been a cover-up, and the local media seems involved w/a media blackout on that Noack vs YMCA case, too. Here is the focus of Occupy Austin. Very good:

Ratified by the General Assembly:

  1. This movement is about democracy. We demand that the government be truly responsive to those it represents. We demand an end to the massive corporate influence blocking the voice of the people by eliminating corporate personhood and limiting monetary contributions to political campaigns and lobbying.
  2. This movement is about economic security. We demand effective reforms to prevent banks and financial institutions from causing future economic crises.
  3. This movement is about corporate responsibility. We demand strict repercussions for corporations and institutions who cause serious financial damage to our country and its taxpayers.
  4. This movement is about financial fairness. We demand tax reforms to ensure that corporations and the wealthy pay their fair share in taxes.

Thanks to whoever set up this site; it is helpful to be organized in order to achieve your goals.
