I am forming a research team to study the campaign finance reports, expenditures, donor information and other data filed by candidates for public office. We will be searching for any irregularities, and attempting to uncover any other unethical or illegal activities. This is an attempt to fight back against money in politics, and our research will help in limiting this.

Anything that we find will be reported to the media and our legal advisors.

This is a "target rich environment." After going through the records of three candidates, I have already uncovered two examples of extremely unethical behavior: one congressman is using his committee assignment to shake down donors, and a seated State Rep is also a full-time lobbyist, despite a sworn statement to the contrary.
