Each week that you get in front of city council, be prepared to offer them a SINGLE REQUEST for an action that is within their power to do.  And then offer to solve one of their problems.  Reciprocation is powerful.  The two gentlemen that represented us today were very articulate, but the council did not remember what they wanted.

They know who WE are, even if they don't understand or agree with everything we want.  Asking the council to stop global warming is a bit above their pay grade.  Example – Asking them to release a couple more electrical circuits is not only cheap and doable, but also desireable if it contributes to safety by lighting the park in the evening hours.  Our tax dollars paid for the park too.

The next week, you could offer to clean the nearby public restrooms in exchange for lieniency for the tarps…
