Just wondering if there are any other veterans showing up at the occupation to help out. Myself and a few friends have some time off coming up in the next day or so and we were wondering if our skills could be utilized. We do have basic first aid training and have also noticed a few other Occupy ____ having veterans as a way to deter violence on both sides of the demonstration.

Yes, there are veterans among OccHou's organizers and participants –all of us Volunteers. We would love to have you come out and lend a hand! We have a calendar on the main page of the site now in the sidebar, if that helps you figure out a good time to come out. Really *something* tends to be happening and need assistance at any given time! As volunteers we encourage each other to step up and implement solutions we come across as we tackle the many issues we are trying to organize around :) Thanks for your interest and support
