Judge Blocks Citigroup Settlement With S.E.C.
WASHINGTON — Taking a broad swipe at the Securities and Exchange Commission’s practice of allowing companies to settle cases without admitting that they had done anything wrong, a federal judge on Monday rejected a $285 million settlement betweenCitigroup and the agency.

I have more good news,
U.S. Rep. Ted Deutch, D-Fla.,
a member of the House Judiciary Committee,
introduced the first piece of legislation inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement last week, proposing the addition of a new constitutional amendment that would ban corporate money in politics and end legal protection for corporate personhood. http://tinyurl.com/6tk8rgm
Someone posted a link to pearltrees, which we can use to visually monitor all the information that we have been collecting from multiple websites. The link is an example of what we can do, to register for you own account is free and simple, requiring only an email address and creation of login name.

December 1st, 2011 – A lawsuit has been brought against five major American banks today. Attorney General Martha Coakley of Massachusetts filed the legal action today in Suffolk Superior Court. The defendants include Citigroup, Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, GMAC, and Wells Fargo.
