I'll be bringing a video recorder and tripod.  If possible, we'll bring a laptop and webcam if there's a nearby signal so we can show the protest live online.

We need a better method of getting some internet. The local wifi that I've seen so far is spotty, and we should have a backup in case it gets shut down.

I have a livestream channel set up and running for mobile broadcasting as well SpaceEagle. I do need more help for the channel, to keep constant coverage on the ground. If you own an iPhone or droid this is possible to do over 3g or WiFi.

I am trying to decide how best to contribute. I have a droid phone & could assist in that way, but I also have an old sony camera (good lens & 2 high capacity batteries + monopod) with firewire output that I have used to livestream once before using a cable to my macbook & verizon card. (I don't really want to volunteer my macbook.) I would like to find a wireless video transmitter locally but am not quite sure what to buy. If I did bring more gear, I would need someone to manage the laptop connection & possibly other somebodies to rotate camera operation. I am a mother of two small children, so I can not participate for long durations or camp, but I can support by replenishing batteries & taking shifts as well as the offer of equipment. Some people have stated that it would be nice to see children in the march & I might bring mine, but this would make me useless as a videographer. So I guess what I really want to know is whether other members of the video workgroup want to help with and/or operate my equipment, and also whether there will be enough manpower that I can be hands off & possibly bring my kids.

Input please?

The Katy Capsule is a local blog (based out of Katy, Texas) with a Facebook fan page and website and we would like to help Occupy Houston in any way possible. Our owners live in Katy, and will be downtown daily taking pictures, capturing video, interviewing people and helping out in any way we can. We would love to help spread news regarding Occupy Houston in any way (because we all know the mainstream media has been slacking as usual). If you have a stream and you need hosting – we have PLENTY of server space for our website to give you a place to stream your video live. If you have video of important happenings, send it to us and we will post it and contact ALL local media outlets with it and push them to report on important events. If you need information spread about places food/water/supplies can be delivered, let us know and we'll get it out.

Anything you guys need – just ask and we will do whatever we can to help out.

We may just be a few college kids with a blog/website, but we will do everything we can to help.

Most importantly: Keep up the great work! It is great to see people finally stand up and make their voice heard like so many great Americans have before us!

I went to the doctor and I'm having issues with my heart and hip and my fiancee' is having some medical issues as well.  If my hip clears up, I'll try to get out there, but I'm grounded at the moment.  I'll do what I can on the Internet from here if I find I can't make it tomorrow.

I am shooting a short film about Occupy Houston on Monday at Hermann Square. Is there anything planned that day? If anyone would like to be in the film as REAL protesters, all you have to do is show up. I need 100 to 200 people. The film will be complete by Wednesday at the latest, and posted to Youtube, shared all over Facebook, and hopefully on this website.
