Does anyone have FIRSTHAND information that Michael Moore will be attending our MARCH tomorrow?
His website says that he will be at Brazos Bookstore tomorrow at 7:30PM. I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up at Tranquility Park at some point. But, it seems unlikely that he could do live TV from Denver tonight and still make it in time for our march tomorrow afternoon.
We need to more carefully vet information before we officially post it.

He is def a 1%. I noticed he wasnt giving his info away free. Or even at a reduced rate. the companies I skate for make videos. They sell them at production cost, cause they believe in it. Mr. Moore is not like that however. He charges normal rates for viewing and purchase of his products. Capitalist for sure!!!

Then please tell what it is that you do want. I don't understand. I want to. But no one will make a list of what OH stands for. Don't start with goverment greed. 99% have no say, Real topics that can be changed through dialog. Standing in the rain will change nothing.

Darrell,
It seems to me it is a 'wait and see' scenario. I know what I am personally concerned about and I feel no need to share my thoughts with anyone that demands them. And initially I thought I knew why this movement developed. It seems to me it is still loosely defined, at least locally. If you are here to simply criticize, then you are wasting your own time. If you are here to express what you think needs addressed in the interest of the 99%, then let us hear it respectfully.
Regardless why you are here, most people in the USA are convinced the wealthy are presently at an unfair advantage. Now if they want to Occupy can start stereotyping the 1%, but then anything any of the 99% have in common with the 1% will create unnecessary conflict. So, if this becomes about gender, religion or race, anything but wealth, this creates unnecessary weakening of the effort of the 99%.
So, Darrell, if you are part of the 1%, be very careful. Because if this group becomes enraged, no matter the profile they use to define whom they hate, you will be included. You would be better off helping them focus on what to do about corruption and taxes before tempers flare, balancing the needs of everyone in the 100% while destroying the favoritism currently in effect with the 1%.

really, I'm not rich. I work to take care of 5 kids. I do it every day weather it be good pay or enough pay. Your statement to me is insane. It's stupid people like yourself that gives the movement that you are a part of a bad name. Yet you have no idea what it stands for. You join or support something before you understand what it is. If you belive that Americans are worried about your fat ass getting enraged . You are incorrect. You only get mad when they close the Donut shop early. When you get some real life experience then you can voice your opnion to adults. Untill then shut the fuck up.

hilarious.
hilarean theatre.
Now this:
When was the last time anybody has gone to this page: http://occupyhouston.org/f-a-q/
and read:
What do you want: what are you protesting for/against?
We want what everybody wants: the ability to have a home, to make a livelihood, to have a family or a community, to live in a free society. We all want economic and social justice. Thus, we are protesting for the rights of the 99% – for our most basic rights as citizens, to convene, to express ourselves, and to be heard. We are unified by our sense of economic injustice, as a result of both our domestic, and foreign, policy.
It could be a good place to start.

Finally someone has some policy to stand for.
I would first like to say I'm sorry to all the chairs out there for Katie sitting on you.. I would suggest Katie look into the next round of the biggest looser program.
At least Katie understands that makeing threats to adults is silly. I find myself in the 53%. The part that pays taxes and is tired of paying for others. No repersentation without taxation. The vaulnables can go kick rocks and stop smoking crack. John was it the part where I made commit on Katies weight problem or what I asked her to do at the end of the post that got me in trouble? Thank you and have a great day.

I am thinking Darrell is not familiar with the 73%, which obviously includes part of the 53%. And how sad his responses lack content, respect for individuals and group, and integrity.

Just had an online chat with Moore, albeit one sided. He deleted my question on his face book page. Free Speech? Sure, as long as there's no delete button. Oh yeah, i missed u guys.

The Official Declaration of the Occupation of Wall Street
As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together. We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies.
As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality: that the future of the human race requires the cooperation of its members; that our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their neighbors; that a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth; and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by economic power.
We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments.
We have peaceably assembled here, as is our right, to let these facts be known.
They have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage.
They have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give Executives exorbitant bonuses.
They have perpetuated inequality and discrimination in the workplace based on age, the color of one’s skin, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation.
They have poisoned the food supply through negligence, and undermined the farming system through monopolization.
They have profited off of the torture, confinement, and cruel treatment of countless animals, and actively hide these practices.
They have continuously sought to strip employees of the right to negotiate for better pay and safer working conditions.
They have held students hostage with tens of thousands of dollars of debt on education, which is itself a human right.
They have consistently outsourced labor and used that outsourcing as leverage to cut workers’ healthcare and pay.
They have influenced the courts to achieve the same rights as people, with none of the culpability or responsibility.
They have spent millions of dollars on legal teams that look for ways to get them out of contracts in regards to health insurance.
They have sold our privacy as a commodity.
They have used the military and police force to prevent freedom of the press.
They have deliberately declined to recall faulty products endangering lives in pursuit of profit.
They determine economic policy, despite the catastrophic failures their policies have produced and continue to produce.
They have donated large sums of money to politicians, who are responsible for regulating them.
They continue to block alternate forms of energy to keep us dependent on oil.
They continue to block generic forms of medicine that could save people’s lives or provide relief in order to protect investments that have already turned a substantial profit.
They have purposely covered up oil spills, accidents, faulty bookkeeping, and inactive ingredients in pursuit of profit.
They purposefully keep people misinformed and fearful through their control of the media.
They have accepted private contracts to murder prisoners even when presented with serious doubts about their guilt.
They have perpetuated colonialism at home and abroad.
They have participated in the torture and murder of innocent civilians overseas.
They continue to create weapons of mass destruction in order to receive government contracts. *
To the people of the world,
We, the New York City General Assembly occupying Wall Street in Liberty Square, urge you to assert your power.
Exercise your right to peaceably assemble; occupy public space; create a process to address the problems we face, and generate solutions accessible to everyone.
To all communities that take action and form groups in the spirit of direct democracy, we offer support, documentation, and all of the resources at our disposal.
Join us and make your voices heard!
