James, I think you need to take a look around. Because if you do, you will see that 'injustices' are not over. The schooling is a blaring example of inequality. (A good education starts at home, I belive every student can go to any school they choose) The prison numbers. ( If you break the law you go to jail) The number of blacks and latinos effected by the recent housing crash.(Should have never borrowed more than they could afford ) Even better, the history of the housing in America which laid the seeds for the current housing crash/economic crash. The drug laws, specifically, the crack to cocaine punishment. (Its still against the law. Dont do crack) If things were so equal and fair in America, people would not be protesting the injustices in America. Let's see who is incarcerated and on death row? Every American is given the right to better themselves…somewhat NOW…but the cracks to fall into are larger and wider than ever. Just get sick and find out.(Look im an average 46 yr old with 5 kids. Making under 40K a year. I ask for nothing from anyone. I go to work and raise my kids. These injustices you speak are laws that are on the books and have been for years. Im not in jail and have my small house because. I don't smoke crack and don't do cocaine, I bought a house that was to small for my family that I could afford. My kids do there homework first then everything else second. If parents would do there job and play a part in there kids life. They to will grow up well rounded and grow as an American. Most of social problems are self inflicted wounds
